Running Accomplishments:

This blog is intended for my wife, Alison, to log how much she runs. Currently I (Desi) enjoy running the distance between my house and the mailbox. I get more excited about my wife's running than she does. My wife completed the Top of the Mountain marathon in Logan, Utah(2007) with the personal best time of 3:33 her first marathon.

Alison's personal best

Memorial Day 5k  20:15

1 mile 6:13  with Michelle pulling me along.

Spanish Fork Half (2004)  1:42

Mesa Falls Marathon  3:25

Ali  has some awesome friends to run with that continue to keep her on the run and very motivated most of the time.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Ali's Goals:

Work on getting stronger in shorter distance races.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Ali : Try keep fit and running the rest of my life.  Help those around me appreciate the importance of staying fit and healthy.

Maybe get into the couple running thing with my wife, but I don't know!( motivation is lacking)

Personal:

We have 4 children (2 girls, and 2 boys). I am very supportive of my wife and her running.   I do all the bragging for her. Played football at BYU, but I never have had the long distance threshold.  I blame that on my size.   We met at a local dance club while attending college. We have been married for 11 wonderful years.

Ali:

Waited for Jamie to pick me up. Kids woke up at 0500. Put them back to bed then went to Gold's Gym and did the one hours spin class. Then did one hour of yoga. Jamie where R U?

Desi:

Thought about running out in the snow today. Started laughing. Then headed down to gold gyms when my wife returned home and did 40 minutes on the elliptical. Felt great.

Cute! You guys are most welcome. I love your blog nickname--there's always a need for more chocolate in the world.

Welcome you two! I am glad you've signed up. How about milk chocolate? I guess those are the kiddies, eh? There are many couples on the blog but they post separate. It makes it easier to look back on your history to track mileage. Just a thought. Will you be out tomorrow Ali?

From Jamie on Thu, Dec 20, 2007 at 22:06:04

Once again, so sorry about Wednesday! I'll explain in depth later...go with your gut instinct as to why. Anyhow, welcome to the blog and see you tomorrow morning...the weather is likely to be awful:(

From Alison on Sun, Dec 23, 2007 at 18:35:35

we won't have to worry about tracking desi's mileage because he will never be out running . the elliptical is all the cardio he likes to do. Sorry I didn't comment sooner. Desi signed us up without asking so he made up some goals that he felt he wanted to see me accomplish. I still need to figure out what my goals are in life so I can look forward to speed work with Michelle and Jamie and the other Spanish Fork women.
