This blog is intended for my wife, Alison, to log how much she runs. Currently I (Desi) enjoy running the distance between my house and the mailbox. I get more excited about my wife's running than she does. My wife completed the Top of the Mountain marathon in Logan, Utah(2007) with the personal best time of 3:33 her first marathon.

Spanish Fork Half (2004)  1:42

Mesa Falls Marathon  3:25

Ali  has some awesome friends to run with that continue to keep her on the run and very motivated most of the time.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Ali's Goals:

Work on getting stronger in shorter distance races.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Ali : Try keep fit and running the rest of my life.  Help those around me appreciate the importance of staying fit and healthy.

Maybe get into the couple running thing with my wife, but I don't know!( motivation is lacking)

Personal:

We have 4 children (2 girls, and 2 boys). I am very supportive of my wife and her running.   I do all the bragging for her. Played football at BYU, but I never have had the long distance threshold.  I blame that on my size.   We met at a local dance club while attending college. We have been married for 11 wonderful years.

I ran with the Sojourners group in Provo.  I got their early and ran with Amber for about six miles.  We met up with the group at seven and ran LA freeway.   I had a hard time keeping my footing in the snow  my feet kept slipping and I felt like I wasn't going anywhere.  I felt really tired and slow today.  It's frustrating when you want to keep a certain speed and your body is not letting you.  I'm at least glad I made it through.

Great job Ali. Getting six miles in before running L.A. would do most anyone in.

I know this run and hear you on the footing part you almost need snowshoes for this run. It is a great workout in the summer because you can really push the hills. Maybe I can talk you spanish forkians in coming down to Provo for a week day run on the LA freeway in the summer.

I have done this run with Jamie before but today it was all I could do to keep going.

I do like this run better in the summer/fall.
